We are hiring Owner Operators in the Savannah GA area for Independent Contractors.  Home Time:  Local job Monday through Friday off weekends unless you want to work weekends.  Long haul options available if you want them.

We have tons of freight in container drayage industry,  transloading, and domestic transportation industries

We can take Sleepers or Day Cabs for this job 

• Drivers are paid by the load, 

• Local Move (GPA to Tremont Road) $90.00 per way $180 round trip.

• USDA Stop Off when required:  $50

• Pick up or Return of Container to the Offsite Depot $90

• Ocean Terminal $25.00

• Bobtail:   $25 Company Chassis, $25.00 Port Chassis

• Drivers can do at least 4 round trips per day with most of them doing up to 6+. Just depends on how the ports are flowing that day. They deliver to 3 different areas. 

   For this Savanna terminal we currently only run local between the GPA and our 3 locations. Drivers are paid 90 each way and 25 for bobtails.

• On average drivers  make around 3600 week before deductions. Based on working a full day mon-fri.

• Only deductions for the driver are below

  * ELD $6.50 a week

  * Occupational Health Insurance $35 per week

  * Fuel card usage is $1.00 per transaction – we issue a fuel card to the driver and fuel is deducted from their weekly settlement.

  * Escrow is $1500 taken $50 a week until met.

  If driver decides to carry our  insurance

  * Bobtail is $8.00 per week

  * Physical Damage is based on the truck owners declared value of the truck from what I’ve seen between $25 – $50 per week.

  Drivers can select below optional deductions.

  * Driver legal plan $2.98 a week

  * Maintenance Account min of $50 per week if driver elects to use the maintenance account. Maintenance account acts like a Savings account ( no interest earned) for the driver and he is able to request EFS from the account when he needs access to the money for repairs.

REQUIREMENTS:  Class A License with at * 24 mo verifiable CDL experience with some in 2 of the last 5 years
* No drug or alcohol convictions in the past 10 years.

Fairly clean Background, MVR and Job History.  

Truck Year must be a 2000 model or newer and have to have a picture of the ELD plug in the truck as part of the truck sign on requirements.

INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR ON-BOARDING

• Truck condition (Can Pass DOT inspection)  2000 or newer with ELD plug. 

• Paperwork is provided by owner operator 

  • Title or title application in owner’s name

  • Most recent 2290 (IRS form, Heavy Highway Vehicle Use Tax Return)

  • Bill of sale

  • Most recent registration and contact information for the lien holder
