AUTO PARTS – This is a dedicated driving account for Advance Auto / CARQUEST. FLOATER position. (For the local job scroll down. 95% of our local drivers come from the Floater fleet as they are first in line for the local job.
You are required to get hazmat for this job so if you don’t have it race down to DMV and start the process so you can jump on this sweet job which will lead you into a local home daily job down the road with a guaranteed minimum salary. Best local job in the Lakeland, Orlando and Tampa area.
AAP/Carquest floater drivers are hauling Auto parts & hazmat batteries. Floaters are responsible for filling in for other AAP/Carquest drivers who are out sick and/or using PTO. Drivers who are floaters must be flexible and willing to travel to various AAP/Carquest locations as needed.
Basically you are on call and as long as available to work will get paid whether you work or not. If you end up covering for Lakeland drives you will be home daily in most cases.
Drivers must be willing to travel to any of the AAP/Carquest locations to help as needed.
Averages 100-2,500/week – Averages 5-55 stops/week

MUST BE FLEXIBLE. Account has both day and night routes – selected via seniority, will
probably be running nights
For this job you Must be willing to stay out for 3 weeks at a time, but you could end up local in the Lakeland area and not have to travel. A lot of drivers end up staying right here in Florida driving the local job. Those that take this job are FIRST IN LINE FOR THE LOCAL JOB BELOW when it opens up and it does quite often.
Depending on the assignment and where the driver is domiciled, we could get them home daily on occasion. If you are sent to another state we will put you up in a hotel etc and cover your travel expenses plus pay is higher in most other areas besides Florida.
Driver will unload at AAP/Carquest stores using an electric pallet jack
Safety bonus: Paid 2 times a year. $0.01 per mile Accident / Injury & CSA violation free.
Recording period is between Nov. – May & Jun- Oct
Stop pay: $11/stop
Layover pay: $70
Must be comfortable with day and night driving
Must be comfortable with solo and team driving

Guaranteed Minimum are based on location. Lakeland Florida is $1387 guaranteed a week as long as you are available for work. Raleigh NC minimum is $1500. So based on where you are sent you will be paid at that rate but I don’t think any of them pay less then $1385.
You will be on call and as long as you are available to work, even if you don’t go into work and aren’t called you will get paid.
If on the road at a location other than Lakeland you will be provided with a hotel and transportation to that location paid for by CFI.

We are hiring professional CDL-A truck drivers to join our dedicated Advance Auto Parts/ CarQuest division. The operating area will have you going to customer locations in FL and South GA . You will be home daily averaging up to 1,800 miles/week.
