You will be home daily working for just one company Owens Corning and you will shuttling between 2 plants 6 miles apart.
Drivers on this account will either pick up shingles from the Owens Corning plant in Portland to bring back to yard and stage for other drivers to pick up or they will be using a tanker to take high temperature tar back and forth from manufacturing plant.
Ideally, we would like for drivers to be crossed trained and able to do both jobs (flatbed and tanker) for any coverage that is needed.
PAY: If you have 0 to 5 years of Tractor Trailer Experience you will be paid up to $29.50 per hour the first 40 hours that week and for the additional 30 hours of overtime you will be paid $44.25 per hour.
If you have 5 years or more of Tractor Trailer Experience you will be paid $30.50 for the first 40 hours that week and for the additional 30 hours of overtime you will be paid a monster $45.75 per hour.
How much can you make a week? $30.50 X 40 = $1220 then 45.75 per hour. 30 hours X $45.75 = $1375.
**********So add up $1220 + $1375 = $2595 per week************
$5000 Sign on Bonus: On top of the pay above, you also will get a Sign on bonus of $5,000.00. This is paid out in increments of $1,000 at 45, 90, 180, 270 and 360 days and issued. Paid within 1-2 weeks of those dates
Safety bonus: $0.50 per hour safety bonus paid out twice annually in June & December
Drivers are working 5-6 days/week depending on the schedule. Weekends off are not guaranteed.
SCHEDULE: Drivers can expect to average up to 70 hours a week which means almost 30 hours of Overtime every week. You will be driving at Night so you can avoid traffic jams and day time headaches. Shift runs from 6:00 PM in the evening to 6:00 AM in the morning.

At least 6 Months of Class A CDL hauling trailers at least 40 feet in length of recent OTR flatbed experience in the last 3 years. (If you don’t have Flatbed experience go ahead and apply below we will present you with other local options for dry van)
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (Must have hazmat to get hired, however we can hire a driver without Tanker endorsement but must be willing to obtain it within 90 days of hire)
Driver will be required to operate both tanker and flatbed combinations, NO TARPING! However this job will require you to be be forklift certified and operate forklift to load and unload pallets. (Drivers will be forklift certified on the job if they aren’t already, so don’t need to be forklift certified to apply)

HIRING within 50 miles from Portland OR
Parking is On site at drop yard at the plant in Portland area. You won’t need a place to park the truck as you don’t take the truck home.
